Hitachi Subfloor |
|
Changing out bits every 1,000
screws or less was common in the subfloor business and
workers had to exert much more energy to get the final
life out of their bits. Because it required much more
effort and broke up their screwing rhythm many screws
would not seat properly. The workers had to go back and
rather than screwing them in they would just hammer them
down destroying their holding power, thus leading to squeaking
floors. |
Hitachi introduced the LOX
Technology in their line of subfloor screws and their
customers couldn’t be happier. The bits last 8-12
times longer than square drive bits and they require less
effort from the workers so each screw seats down tight
and it doesn’t break their stride. |
